Last week, Nexus were pleased to deliver our EVAWG Pledge training to staff from Alliance constituency offices across Northern Ireland.
The session explored the root causes of violence against women and girls and the important role organisations can play in helping to create safer communities.
The training forms part of our wider work to support organisations in understanding the impact of violence against women and girls, challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours, and embedding approaches that contribute to prevention and early intervention.
Through the Take the Pledge programme, organisations are supported to strengthen their internal practices through the development of policies, procedures and workplace cultures that help prevent violence against women and girls. The programme also encourages organisations to identify EVAWG Champions who receive additional training to support colleagues, respond appropriately to disclosures, and signpost survivors to specialist support.
We would like to thank everyone who attended for their engagement and commitment to helping create safer communities across Northern Ireland.
If your organisation would like to learn more about the Nexus Pledge programme and how it can help create safer environments, we would be delighted to hear from you.
