#BreakTheCycle

Educational Workshops for Children & Young People

Here at Nexus we are passionate about helping to #BreakTheCycle of sexual abuse and abusive relationships by helping to educate young people on topics such as body boundaries, healthy relationships, consent (in all sorts of relationships), cybersafety, spiking awareness, grooming, and body image.

Consent (free in the Belfast area, fees apply elsewhere)

Our consent workshops aims to empower young people with the knowledge and communication skills needed to establish and maintain healthy relationships – romantic and non-romantic – based on mutual respect and clear boundaries, ultimately fostering a safer and more inclusive community. We aim to help young people understand that consent is about much more than sex; it’s about empowering them to set healthy boundaries, have conversations about making informed decisions, and improve their overall sense of safety, confidence, and wellbeing.

Through interactive activities and open discussions, young people will gain a deeper understanding of consent, its significance in personal interactions, and its role in preventing sexual misconduct. We’ll look at topics such as:

  1. What is consent?
  2. The legislation on consent
  3. Healthy relationships
  4. What is online abuse?
  5. How to stay safe online
