Nexus Halts New Referrals for Under 16s Due to Waiting List Capacity

We regret to announce that as of Thursday 2nd November 2023, Nexus will not be able to take any new referrals for anyone aged under 16 years old into our Children & Young People’s counselling service. This means that we will continue to provide counselling to those under 16 who are currently being supported, but will not be able to begin supporting any new clients in this age group.

This decision is not one we have made lightly and has been made due to our waiting list for this service being at maximum capacity. As it stands, we hope to be able to resume receiving referrals from 1st February 2024, however this is not guaranteed. We will provide our clients and other stakeholders with further updates as and when they occur.
