We have an opportunity for a Community Fundraiser with Nexus NI for one year.  The post will allow the post holder to develop skills and receive training from Nexus NI.

Recruitment is by a 2 stage interview process, the 1st interview by Nexus NI and the 2nd by the funder, The Rank Foundation.

Person Specification – Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrable personal or professional experience of working directly with volunteers
  • Demonstrable experience/knowledge of fundraising and community engagement
  • Up to date working knowledge of fundraising, event management and working with volunteers.
  • Team-player experience with the ability to build and maintain a network of relationships
  • Full driving license
  • Personal experience of volunteering and fundraising

Job description

  • Create materials advertising fundraising opportunities at Nexus or for Nexus
  • Alongside Community Fundraising Lead create fundraiser roles and responsibilities and a complete fundraiser induction
  • Advertise and recruit for fundraisers for all Nexus sites
  • Arrange interviews and induction meetings for successful applicants
  • Provide ongoing support for all Nexus NI fundraisers
  • Monitor and evaluate impact of fundraising within the organisation
  • Update existing fundraising policy within Nexus NI
  • Maintain fundraiser/fundraising information on Nexus website and social media accounts
  • To attend various volunteer/fundraiser recruitment events

Management and Supervision

The successful candidate will receive:

  • Full Nexus Induction
  • Regular supervision and support from their line manager
  • Access to all Nexus NI staff training
  • Support from relevant service managers to support fundraising activity

An Enhanced Access NI check will be required for this role
