As a Nexus NI volunteer, you will make a meaningful difference to survivors of sexual assault/trauma. You will get training to do your role and access to ongoing support and development. And you will meet people that like you, are passionate about what we do and what we are striving to achieve.

Right now, we are looking for Volunteer Helpline Operators for our Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline.

Volunteer Helpline Operator

The 24 Hour Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline is funded by the Departments of Health, Justice & Communities. It offers support to survivors, family, friends and professionals.

You will give support, signpost enquiries, take referrals, make risk assessments and distribute information.  The Helpline service is delivered by phone, email, Web Chat and WhatsApp (this one is optional).

Nexus NI will give you an induction and training programme to prepare you for the role and you will have access to supervisors and mentors.  You will also have access to our range of training opportunities including relevant accredited training courses.
