Enniskillen Tangent have raised an incredible £1844.85 to support local charity Nexus NI. The group chose Nexus NI as their charity of the year to support through various fundraising and awareness activities which included a BBQ and a bag pack in ASDA.
Nexus NI are the lead charity across Northern Ireland delivering services and support to victims of sexual violence and are passionate about tackling the myths and misconceptions that exist around it in society to ensure that victims and survivors have all the services they need. Nexus NI also manage the 24 Hour Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline – providing free and confidential support to those affected by domestic and sexual abuse.
Ruth Loizides, Chair of Enniskillen Tangent says:
“We are so pleased with the amount of money that Enniskillen Tangent have raised. It has been terrific to be able to be able to make such a difference locally and to know that the money raised will go towards supporting those affected by sexual abuse in the Enniskillen area.”
Enniskillen Tangent is a club for ladies 45 and over who like to have fun, make new friendships and support local charities through various fundraising initiatives. Enniskillen Tangent meet once a month at different venues throughout Fermanagh.
The club presented the donation to Helena Bracken, Operations Manager for Nexus NI.

Nexus NI provides counselling across Northern Ireland to victims and survivors and also delivers education programmes in schools, community groups and youth clubs on topics such as relationships and sexuality education and cyber safety.
Nexus NI provides counselling sessions in our Enniskillen office as well as running a number of education programmes in the county”.
