DIS.CO News January-June 2018

DIS.CO is a two year Erasmus+ project that aims at the development, piloting and dissemination of VET material regarding the enhancement of key competences of psycho-social Counselling practitioners in the field of Counselling women victims of violence through alternative digital means.  The aim is to provide alternative innovative services and to build virtual workplaces. The project will promote innovative digital learning methods (e-learning) accompanied with work-related digital tools (online Safety Planning Application) as well as conventional practical guides. Managing Information Consultation

Nexus NI needs to keep information to enable us to offer counselling, training, volunteer opportunites and fundraising.  Some of the information we keep is of a sensitive nature, especially information on our clients.  To ensure that information is kept safe and only used in a proper manner we have updated our polices, procedures and produced a comprehensive privacy notice to ensure that we comply with GDPR which come into effect on Friday 25 May. Nexus NI is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (Reg. No. Z3266690) are we are legally obliged to look after your information. Break the Silence Conference on Monday 5 February, 2018 is booking up fast.  We have some Early Bird Tickets still available until Monday 22 January. The Conference will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Milltown Road, Belfast, BT8 7XP from 10am to 4pm.
