This month’s BBC Radio Ulster appeal is on behalf of Nexus NI. Airing on Sunday 26th November at 8.55am and repeated on Monday 27th November at 2.55pm, the appeal will help raise awareness of who we are and who we help, as well as encouraging people to come forward if they have suffered any form of sexual violence and need information and support.
Through our appeal, we are also asking people to get involved and support us in breaking the silence around sexual violence by sharing our pledge on social media and using our #breakthesilence. You can find out more about spreading the word here.
Our appeal highlights the growing demand for our services and how important it is for us to be able to meet that demand and provide the specialist support that victims and survivors need. You can help us do that by becoming a Friend of Nexus. By being a passionate supporter of our work, through your fundraising and awareness-raising, you can help to change lives. If you miss the radio broadcast, you can listen back at the BBC NI Appeals website. Nexus NI would like to thank everyone who contributed to our appeal, including our former clients for sharing their stories and Sarah Travers for her narration and support. Also, thank you to BBC NI for providing Nexus NI with this opportunity to raise awareness of our vital work.
